Twas The Morning Before Christmas...

'Twas the morning before Christmas
and all through the house
not a creature was stirring
except me in a blouse.. (not really in a blouse but it rhymed!)

I in my yoga pants
while Hubby in bed
Crept down to the kitchen
to start prepping meals ahead

With hands freshly washed
and hair tied in a knot
Hope I don't sneeze
and cover everything with snot (sorry... couldn't resist!)

Out in the kitchen I'll make such a clatter
As pots and pans fly, Hubby'll wonder what's the matter
Meatballs and  buns, dips, and veggies galore
All on the menu tonight to be sure

And when it's all done
What a feast we'll enjoy
As we remember with thankful hearts
The birth of Mary's baby boy!

He's our Savior and God
Life-giver and Friend
His love carries on
and knows no end.

Do you know Him this day?
Is it him you celebrate?
If not, you might try
before it's too late!

The greatest gift you'll receive
this Christmas my friend
Is accepting His gift
of a life that won't end!!

God loves us SO much that at Christmas He gave us the Ultimate Gift in sending His one and only Son to earth to die on the cross to pay the price for our sins.  There is no more precious gift we could receive than forgiveness of our sins and the promise of life-everlasting in God's presence.  It's His birth we celebrate, and yet we are the ones getting the gifts!  Talk about LOVE!!

Wishing you and yours a blessed and joy-filled Christmas!  Merry Christmas!!  And as Tiny Tim would say... God bless us... Everyone!
