After I got dressed, had a cup of tea and checked emails, off I went to my ensuite to begin the task of making myself "human" enough to go out in public... aka... flat ironing the hair!
Often when I'm doing those "girly" tasks, I'll pop the t.v. in our bedroom on or sometimes I'll put my Mp3 player on. I've got speakers hooked up so I don't have to wear the ear buds, which of course would get sufficiently tied up (and burned) in the flat iron if I were to try it without speakers.
My most played playlists on my Mp3 are either my "Country Favorites" or my "Christian Favorites" and today, as I was preparing to get myself into the right place mentally and spiritually for Ladies' group, I chose "Christian Favorites". The music began and the first song I heard was one of my favorites: Big Daddy Weave's "Every Time I Breathe". Have you heard it? You can listen/watch it below:
This song really speaks to me every time I hear it. It's the lyrics that speak right to my heart:
I am sure all of heaven’s heard me cry
As I tell You all the reasons why this life is just too hard
But day by day, without fail I’m finding everything I need
In everything that You are to me(Chorus)
Every time I breathe You seem a little bit closer
I never wanna leave I wanna stay in Your warm embrace
Oh basking in the glory shining from Your face and
Every time I get another glimpse of Your heart
I realize it’s true, that You are so marvelous God
And I am so in love with You
Yeah, so in love with YouNow how could I, after knowing one so great
Respond to You in any way that’s less than all I have to give
But by Your grace, I wanna love You not with what I say but everyday
In the way that my life is lived(Chorus)
Wrapped in Your mercy I wanna live and never leave
I am held by how humble, yet overwhelmed by Your majesty
Captured by grace now I’m finding I am free
You are marvelous God and knowing You is everything(Chorus)

For so many years I loved God with only my head. I knew in my mind that God is good, faithful and loving, but it wasn't until just a couple years ago when that big electrical plug from my heart to God was plugged in. For most of my Christian life I was living on generator power instead of the full power of God coming straight for The Source.
Since that time, I can say with my whole heart that God is a Marvelous God, even when my life's dreams and desires didn't turn out the way I thought they should. I have learned that there is no place on earth better than the "warm embrace" of my Jesus.
I confess that sometimes I get lazy in my Christian walk, but that only lasts for a few days now instead of months, or even years. Jesus has become the Air I need to breathe in order to survive. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life and I can't thank Him enough. I am "humbled yet overwhelmed with His Majesty".
I still have a long way to go to give Him all that He deserves of me, but little by little as I lay myself on the altar (and stay put!) He is able to take that small sacrifice and make something beautiful with it.
Jesus, I am so in love with You!

Hi Sue! Beautiful song with meaningful lyrics. I'm always burning an ear or my forehead with my curling iron. Always rushing. Thanks for your concern about Kali. Enjoy the weekend! (((Hugz)))
Have a wonderful weekend. It is going to be gorgeous tomorrow! I was out late this afternoon, and I actually got some sun:)
